Occidental Street Market
Join the Oxwash Art Walk Night Market — a vibrant evening pop-up experience during Pioneer Square Art Walk!
We’re inviting vendors, artists, and makers to participate in one of Seattle’s most walkable and historic corridors. This reservation covers all participating vendor spaces throughout Washington Street, Occidental Avenue, and Yesler Way.
Available Locations:
-
Golden Roosters Underground (up to 5 vendors – table setups or small footprint displays)
-
Merchants Café (2–3 indoor vendors)
-
Outdoor sidewalk spaces – most accommodate one or two tables per vendor. Only 2–3 spaces allow for 10×10 tents, so please plan accordingly.
Pricing:
Vendor fees are kept low to keep the program inclusive. All fees go directly toward event promotion, program sustainability, and neighborhood revitalization.
Important Info:
-
A City of Seattle Business License is strongly encouraged. Vendors without one may be subject to city fines.
-
If you need assistance obtaining a license or have questions, we’re here to help.
-
Placement will be assigned based on fit, space availability, and power needs (if applicable).
🎨 Whether you’re a returning vendor or popping up for the first time, this is a unique chance to connect with art walk visitors, support local businesses, and be part of the energy that makes Pioneer Square shine.
Reserve your spot now — spaces are first-come, first-served!
🎨 Art Walk Night Market – Vendor FAQ
📍 Where is the Occidental Street Market located?
The Occidental Street Market is based at 124 S Washington St, Seattle, WA 98104, at the intersection of Occidental Ave and Washington St, right across from beautiful Occidental Square. The market also includes nearby indoor and sidewalk spaces at Golden Roosters Underground and Merchants Café.
🧰 What should I bring?
The market is primarily outdoors. Vendors are responsible for bringing:
-
Tables
-
Chairs
-
Lighting (if staying after dark)
-
Any display items or signage you need to set up shop comfortably and safely
Note: 10×10 tents are only allowed in a few designated areas, so most vendors should plan for a compact, table-based setup.
📐 How are vendor spots assigned?
We do our best to honor returning vendors’ location requests, but spaces are assigned on a first-come, first-served basis the day of the event. Because we welcome both pre-registered and walk-up vendors, assigning fixed spots ahead of time isn’t feasible (yet). As the market grows, we hope to implement a reservation-based map system.
🕓 What are the market hours?
-
Load-in starts at 4:00 PM
-
Market runs 5:00 PM until at least 8:00 PM
-
Vendors are welcome to stay as late as they’d like — especially during busy summer nights and Art Walk Afters.
📞 Need to load in earlier? Call or text Lloyd at 612-708-3289 to coordinate.
🚗 Where can I park?
-
Street parking is available and free after 6:00 PM
-
Free parking passes are available (while supplies last) for:
-
Butler Garage (2nd & James)
-
Frye Garage (117 3rd Ave S)
-
Passes can be picked up at participating art galleries during Art Walk.’
🧃 Can I vend food or beverages?
At this time, we are not accepting hot food vendors because we are partnering with local bars, restaurants, and cafes to serve Art Walk guests.
However, properly prepared niche drinks, pre-packaged snack items, and unique shelf-stable treats are allowed — especially if they’re handmade, local, or artistic in presentation.
If you’re unsure whether your product qualifies, feel free to reach out and ask!
📲 Can I promote the event?
Yes, please do! Sharing the market helps everyone. Post about your participation and tag us on Instagram at @PioneerSquareMarket.
We may re-share your post to help get the word out!
🛍️ What types of vendors and products are you looking for?
We love:
-
Handmade goods
-
Art prints & zines
-
Jewelry, candles, and boutique items
-
Creative works priced for accessibility
Art Walk attendees are often gallery hoppers looking for fun, creative souvenirs they can take home. The most successful vendors offer products that reflect the artistic energy of the night, but are easier to buy on impulse than a $2,000 painting.
🧾 How do I sign up?
Just add this event to your cart and complete checkout to reserve your vendor space. We’ll follow up with any additional info or questions once your spot is secured.
